About:

Vikram Sra is a Punjabi artist, born and raised in Punjab, India and now based in Toronto exploring the power of humanity—how human presence can transform even the smallest of elements, shaping a love that often lies beyond the visible spectrum yet holds immense depth.

He is a self-taught artist specializing in oil paintings, capturing themes that explore heritage, introspection, and collective memory through layered compositions.
His work reflects an ongoing engagement with identity and personal history, bridging traditional techniques with contemporary interpretations.

His artistic journey began with painting religious murals in school and took an unexpected turn when he gave up art after crossing oceans. In that pause, he discovered a strange power in the involuntary ignorance of the mystical inner world. We ignore to avoid traps, but by ignoring, we also stay trapped. Now, Vikram blends mystical elements with observable modern life, infusing ordinary existence with greater meaning and power.

Though his work could reflect the immigrant experience, Vikram resists that categorization. For him, movement is the essence of truth—why confine it with labels, restricting access to untapped human experiences? Our relationship with time evolves as we take and give chances, unlocking new doors that warmly invite us into unexplored realms.
